Christopher Cunningham
I am an artist based in New York City. My photographic work and my production practice have developed alongside each other, and over the past fifteen years I have collaborated with artists, galleries, collectors, and institutions on digital capture, retouching, digital printing, custom mounting, framing, and installation.
I received my BFA in Photojournalism from Corcoran College of Art & Design in 2011. I apprenticed in digital printing under David Adamson and in preservation framing under Bill Butler of Archival Art Services, both based in Washington DC. In Chicago I worked at SAIC's Service Bureau, co-founded Contango, an independent journal of art and critical writing, and founded and operated Loupe Print, a fine art printing and framing studio, from 2018 to 2024. In 2026, I started developing and releasing open source software.
